Busselton is a 2.5 hour drive or a 30 min flight from Perth.  The town was awarded WA's Top Tourism Town in 1995 & 1996 and is one of the state's premier seaside resort towns.  Located in Geographe Bay, the region is an aquatic playground with over 20 km of white sandy beaches.  The bay is used for fishing, crabbing, water skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing or just relaxing with a bottle of local wine.

When travelling from Bunbury, take the tourist drive through the Ludlow Tuart Forest, the largest natural Tuart forest in the world. Try the night time "Possum Trail", a 1.5 hour walk with your torch and a friend.

Of course there is the famous Busselton Jetty, here you can walk 2 km out to sea or take the relaxing train ride which runs daily (weather permitting).

Yoganup Playground on the foreshore (just opposite Busselton Jetty Chalets) is an award winning play area for children of all ages


Wonerup House, originally the colonial home of the Laymen family, who began to develop the property in 1835. The National Trust is responsible for restoration work on the house and school opposite.

The Old Court House has been imaginatively recycled. The original gaol cells remain; other parts of the building have become a gallery and cafe.

The Nautical Lady Entertainment Park has a giant water slide, skate board/roller blade arena, go-karts and lots of other fun things for the kids

The beaches of Geographe Bay are safe for all the family, the water is calm and clear, great for swimming and fishing. During the summer boats and jet-skis are available for hire, though don't worry about the noise as there is plenty of beach for everyone.

For the surfers we are just a short drive to the popular surf beaches of yallingup and Margaret River.

To get a real "feel" for Busselton, visit the Heritage Park and Trail. The trail commences opposite the tourist bureau and includes a range of contemporary sculptures which link the past and present. See the "Aboriginal Interpretative Garden" as well as a other historic landmarks such as the Ballerat Steam Engine, Saint Mary's Church and the Pioneer Cemetery. Information on local history can be sought at the Busselton Historic museum, housed at the Old Butter Factory in Peel Terrace.
